NZQA Secondary School Extranet information

Information for staff about NZQA Secondary School Extranet (NZQA SSE).

Application Roles

School staff must use their own ESL user account with a valid NZQA SSE Role to be able to access NZQA SSE. 

ESL Role Names

Type of access to the NZQA Secondary School Extranet (NZQA SSE)

General Security User

For all teaching and administration staff who only need basic NZQA access;

  • View access to Learner information, Record of Achievement details, moderation information, reports and statistics.

High Security User

For Principals, Principal Nominees, Data Administrators or other equivalent Senior School staff only.

  • Includes General Security User access
  • Access to school administration, exam centre information and functions.

Derived Grade

For staff responsible for administrating Derived Grades.

  • Access to Derived Grade information and functions

Results Entry

For staff responsible for entering results.

  • Access to enter provisional & final results for externally assessed non-examined standards.

Special Assessment Conditions

For staff responsible for administrating Special Assessment Conditions.

  • Access to Special Assessment Conditions (SAC) information & functions.

How do I get access?

Please contact your school’s ESL Authoriser/Delegated Authoriser to have the appropriate role assigned to your ESL user account,

If you are not sure who your ESL Authoriser/Delegated Authoriser(s) are then please check with a colleague, your principal or manager.
