Information about the Local Curriculum Design Tool.

A Community of Learning | Kāhui Ako (Community of Learning) is a group of education and training providers working together to help learners achieve their full potential.

A Community of Learning can include early learning services, schools, kura, and post-secondary education providers.

The Local Curriculum Design Tool helps members to collaboratively design a local curriculum for their learners.

School staff must use their own ESL user account with a valid Curriculum Tool Role to be able to access Community of Learning | Kāhui Ako.

This role is required for a user to be able to access the Curriculum Toolkit.

How do I get access?

Step 1

Please contact your organisation’s ESL Delegated Authoriser to have the appropriate role assigned to your ESL account, or for an invitation to a new ESL account if you do not have one.

If you are not sure who your ESL Delegated Authoriser(s) are then please check with a colleague, your principal or manager. 

Step 2

You will also need your e-mail invitation (from your Community Leader) for your specific community of learning | Kahui Ako to use the Local Curriculum Design Tool. This e-mail has a unique 'Accept invite to be a member' link that you need to activate and be able to use the tool successfully. This link will take you to the Local Curriculum Design Tool landing page. Select the Sign In link at the top right of the landing Page. This will take you to the Education Sector Logon screen where you should use your ESL username and password to log on to the Local Curriculum Design Tool.
