Accreditation and Attestation

As part of strengthening the PLD Service we have work underway with to re-design the reaccreditation process for facilitators and there is a possibility that this could involve PLD Provider attestation for accreditation and reaccreditation.

We would like to reassure facilitators accredited back in 2016 that while we undertake this work their accreditation status is still valid.

The last accreditation round for 2018 is this month and the deadline for applications is 30 November 2018. This will be the last round until a decision is made about the processes for accreditation going forward.

We are now seeking further provider input to consider what possible policies and procedures for attestation could be.

We invite you to feed into this work, this can happen in two ways:

1. Email back your feedback to us

We would like to know:

  • whether you support the move towards attestation and why
  • if you see any issues with moving towards this approach for your organisation, and if so, what some possible solutions to the issues could be

2. Participate in a Workshop

We will also are run a full-day workshop in Wellington on Tuesday 4 December to workshop the issues and ideas associated with a possible attestation process. We invite expressions of interest from those of you who might want to take part in the workshop. We can accommodate up to 20 participants, will want to ensure we achieve a balance between Māori and English-medium, and include representatives from large and small provider organisations.
