Information for Provider Organisations

What is accreditation?

Any facilitator delivering professional learning and development to Communities of Learning | Kāhui Ako, schools or kura can apply for accreditation.

Accreditation is essential if you want to deliver centrally-funded PLD and optional if you are delivering specialist services that CoL, schools and kura purchase from their own funds.

Why is accreditation important to me, as a PLD provider organisation?

Centrally-funded PLD may only be delivered by accredited facilitators. For PLD provider organisations that are tendering for centrally-funded PLD, all of the facilitators that will be referenced in their tenders must be accredited, or have a pending accreditation application submitted.

How can my facilitators be accredited?

All individual facilitators must apply for accreditation. We suggest that you co-ordinate with your facilitators to ensure that they are following all necessary steps.

In summary:

  • Your facilitators must follow the application process for accreditation individually here.
  • All facilitators who you will reference in your tender to deliver centrally-funded PLD must be accredited, or have a pending accreditation application submitted.
