Digital Technology Professional Supports - What's right for you?

Information and links to apply for professional supports are available here

Our school / kura needs support so that all teachers can confidently use digital technologies in their teaching and learning programmes across the curriculum.

Digital fluency support is designed to enable teachers and kaiako to confidently use digital technologies, programmes and devices to support their teaching and learning programmes across all curriculum areas and Ngā Wāhanga Ako.  A digitally fluent person can decide when to use specific digital technologies to achieve their desired outcome and can explain why the tools they are using will provide those outcomes.

Example: a teacher may ask a student to use a chromebook to write an electronic book report rather than a handwritten report.  The teacher may add comments electronically and email it back to the student for redrafting. The student may then share the report on their blog so classmates can review and comment. Digital Fluency Professional Learning and Development may be the best place to start for some, the foundations laid through this PLD will help teachers and kaiako engage with the new Digital Technologies and Hangarau Matihiko curriculum.

Digital fluency is available through the existing centrally funded PLD. For more information click here.
