Using the ESL for Delegated Authorisers in Schools

The Education Sector Logon (ESL) is being upgraded in 2018.

Following the upgrade, school authorisers will authorise users directly within ESL instead of through EPA. You will continue to use the same username and password as you do now.

The upgraded Education Sector Logon will provide improved functionality for delegated authorisers in schools.

You will authorise your school’s users directly within ESL instead of making requests through the Education sector logon Provisioning Application (EPA), so the set-up of new user accounts and most changes to users’ roles will take effect immediately, whereas through EPA it can take up to three days.

An ESL Factsheet for School Stakeholders has been created for school authorisers who currently use EPA.

Further information will be posted on this site in the lead-up to the upgrade and existing EPA authorisers will be contacted by email in the first quarter of 2018.
