Information for Communities of Learning | Kahui Ako on how to access the Local Curriculum Design Tool.

Please Note: the first time you access the Local Curriculum Design Tool you need to have these two things;

1. Your own Education Sector Logon (ESL) user account

2. You must also have received your own e-mail invitation for your community of learning | Kahui Ako to use the Local Curriculum Design Tool. This e-mail has a unique Accept invite to be a member link that you must activate and be able to use the tool successfully. This e-mail invitation will come from your Kahui Ako Leader and is sent from this email address; noreply@curriculumtool.education.govt.nz

To access the Local Curriculum Design Tool

You will need your e-mail invitation for your community of learning | Kahui Ako to use the Local Curriculum Design Tool. This e-mail has a unique 'Accept invite to be a member' link that you need to activate and be able to use the tool successfully. This link will take you to the Local Curriculum Design Tool landing page. Select the Sign In link at the top right of the Landing Page. This will take you to the Education Sector Logon screen where you should use your ESL account User ID and Password details to logon to the Local Curriculum Design Tool.

To request an Education Sector Logon (ESL) user account 

If you do not have an Education Sector Logon account you can request one via the following steps;

1. Send an e-mail to the Education Service Desk service.desk@education.govt.nz with the following details for the new user: 

  • Given Names
  • Family Name
  • Date of Birth
  • e-mail Address

2. The Education Service Desk will then be able to create an Education Sector Logon account to be used  for the Local Curriculum Design Tool. This may take 2-3 working days during busy periods. 

3. The new user will receive an e-mail confirming the details of their Education Sector Logon account. This e-mail will come from service.desk@education.govt.nz
